If you have a partially completed application, you can leave it open on your browser until we contact you, although that could be several hours or longer depending on the timing of your request. Alternatively, if you simply close your browser window with the application, all the content will be lost but you can start again when you are ready.

Thank you for your interest in enrolling in the Innovative Agriculture and Marketing Partnership (IAMP).

This Phase-1 application is a nonbinding expression of interest in participating in the IAMP project as a cropland and/or cattle producer. Selected applicants must fulfill minimum eligibility requirements outlined in the application and intend to commit to applying one or more of the following Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Climate Smart practices on the specified acreage for a multi-year period:

Conservation Crop Rotation, including Interseeding (328),
No Tillage (329),
Cover Cropping (340),
Reduced Tillage (345),
Prescribed Grazing (528),
Nutrient Management with Nitrogen Reduction or Manure/Compost Amendment (590),
Biochar Application (336 & 808).

Applicants can enroll individual fields, portions of fields, or multiple parcels of land within the program, provided that the intended parcels are in Idaho and are not already receiving monetary incentives from other federal programs for the implemented practices. The project aims to accommodate as many eligible applicants as possible, if not all applicants can be enrolled applications will be screened to fulfill project goals based on the following selection criteria (not in order of importance):

Members of historically underserved populations,
Proportionate representation of all major target commodities,
Distribution of producers across Idaho agricultural regions,
Potential greenhouse gas reduction based on the intended practice implementation.

Applications will be evaluated based on eligibility criteria, and selected applicants will be contacted to advance through the second phase application and development of a contract with the help of a project partner. To meet project enrollment objectives, annual incentive payment limits or acreage caps might be imposed, which may vary by selected partner.

Cattle owners interested in prescribed grazing need to complete the Grazing Application. Land utilized for prescribed grazing must be enrolled in at least one additional Climate Smart practice. Subsequently, the cropland producer enrolling land in prescribed grazing needs to complete the Cropland Application. If the cattle owner and cropland producer are the same entity, both applications need to be completed.

All cropland producers need to complete the Cropland Application.

I understand the following conditions of the IAMP Phase-1 application:

The applicant is the legal owner of the land or has legal control to perform agricultural operations on the enrolled parcel(s) of land within the State of Idaho.

The applicant acknowledges that if selected to advance to the second phase of the application, cropland applicants will be required to provide detailed baseline agricultural operation data for one complete crop rotation and commit to multi-year practice contracts for all enrolled parcels of land, and grazing applicants will be required to provide one-year of baseline operational data and one-year grazing contracts for all enrolled herds.

The applicant acknowledges that completion of this form does not guarantee enrollment within the project.

The applicant recognizes that IAMP funding is sourced from the USDA Commodity Credit Corporation, with a focus on initiating and enhancing supply chains for climate-smart commodities. Upon selection, producers will have the option to voluntarily partake in IAMP's initiatives to cultivate marketing opportunities. The applicant acknowledges that while involvement in these efforts is recommended, producers are not obligated to exclusively market their products through climate-smart channels.
